The Permanent Mission of The Republic of Kenya to the United Nations Human Settlement Program (UN-HABITAT) was established in 1979  with the mandate of performing diplomatic, representational and multilateral duties pertaining to human settlement matters on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Kenya.

The Mission represents Kenya's interests within the UN system, working in partnership with other member states to enhance UN-HABITAT functions and roles as the principal UN body in the field of urbanization and human settlements.

Vision: To be a champion for all matters pertaining to strengthened international relations with a particular focus on Sustainable Urbanization and Human Settlements.

Mission: To advance and promote the interest of Kenya with respect to negotiations on Human settlements and governance aspects of UN-Habitat.

Mandate: To perform diplomatic representational and multilateral duties on behalf of the Government of Kenya with the Secretariat of UN-Habitat and other relevant international entities.
